Arteriosclerosis c'?'%
Arteriosclerosis, commonly called "hardening of the arteries," actually defines several different related disorders. These disorders are marked by thickening of the arteries, loss of elasticity and hardening of the artery walls as calcium and plaque (resulting from high fat and cholesterol intake) are deposited. These deposits narrow the artery, thus interfering with the normal flow of blood through the vessel. |
